Stitch Up

At university I study fashion design with textiles. I am not fantastic at hand sewing or hand embroidery but never one to quit easily I stayed strong and after many lessons and some practise I think I'm starting to finally get the hang of it. Slowly but surely. Today in lesson I hand stitched this tattoo style hand with a feather. This is probably my best and definitely my favourite piece of embroidery I've ever done.

I wasn't really looking forward to doing hand embroidery lessons at first but I now find it really enjoyable and calming. I may even do it in my spare time as a hobby !
