Fashion Inspiration

Hello!

Sometimes we all need a little fashion inspiration. Its great to have in those moments when we aren't really to sure on what to wear and what type of look we want to go for.  It's hard to know when to stop getting images for inspiration, especially when you start your search on Pinterest! Heres a few of my picks for this season! Key components being wool, a good parka, the classic shirt and a good pair of either chelsea boots or military boots!

Enjoy! What are your inspirational picks for winter?

DVF and Fashion Bloggers

We all love TV right? Right? I know it's not just me that revels in those moments when you've sorted what you needed to for the day, worked hard and it's time for you to make a cup of tea, get some snacks and watch your recorded episodes of your favourite shows until bed.  E! has some great new shows lined up! One being
Fashion Bloggers which follows some big influential fashion bloggers from Australia. We see their job, their life and how the role as a fashion blogger works on the extreme level. Cool! This is a really cool how giving us an insight into their daily life and it also gives us little tips too for us bloggers! Not 100% sure if I wanted it to e slightly more grabbing though? More drama maybe?

The second being the one that I couldn't wait for at all! The House of DVF! We get to see 8 girls try and become an international brand embassidor for fashion power house that is Diane Von Furstenberg! This show is funny, dramatic and it shows a little of how a label works and what roles need require what. Some of these do make me think "why would you do that", "don't be cocky" and "your ridiculous" but what do I know! 😉 One thing I love about this is actually Diane herself! She says it how it is, no frills and is a business woman that knows what needs to be done and how to do it. Fashion, drama and humour. What more could you want after a day at work! Just the food and tea (you have to provide those yourself though).

What are your favourite shows on tv so far!? ✌️

How To Wear Sparkle This Season

Hello!

Every girl likes to sparkle right? But sometimes it can feel like too many accessories and it can make the whole outfit look ruined, over worked and like its trying too hard to be pretty. This season tackles that issue and designers have created ways to make women sparkle in a much more effortless way!

Gem's, sequins and beads galore. Designers such as Balenciaga, Marni, Gucci and more have incorporated these into the garments already meaning that the look is already accessorised for you! No fuss. I love this idea. It means women can just throw on their bejewelled sweater or top and walk out of the door (hopefully with more on than just the sweater or top!) and your already effortlessly glamorous! Designers have clustered the jewels to add extra punch. Be ready to sparkle more than a vampire out of Twilight with this stunning new trend.

Pair with mixes of texture for added style! Add a faux fur trim coat and boots and you've got a stunning autumn and winter 14 look! Happy autumn!

Right Shoe Forward

Hello!

Each season see's one item that everyone sees as a must have. The golden ticket to the fashion frontline. This season we see the return of the boot. I personally love my military boots for all seasons and I see them as being my major players in my day to day wardrobe. Boots are investment pieces of fashion I think. They are bigger shoes, more statement making and more interesting. More fun if you like.

They can be dressed up or dressed down. Designers from Versace, Michael Kors and Topshop Unique and many, many more have created boots for their autumn winter collections. Knee high boots for women are my favourite. Pair these with a '50's style a line skirt with a sporty tee tucked in with a belt will be sure to win you style points this season! Ankle boots that are looser in fabric so they roll around your ankle look great with denim and roll up the hem of the jeans too for more interest. As stylish as they are maybe think about practicality of the boots when buying them! You may love cut out boots that reveal more leg but is it worth having your legs freeze if it starts snowing?

Guy's, look to military boots and Chelsea boots this season! Pair these with a classic pair of jeans with the hems rolled for extra style points. Add a pea coat and a scarf and you've got a perfect effortless look for autumn and winter!

A Whole New Look

Hello!

New Look is British fashion brand that is known for its affordability and great women's wear. However, did you know that they also have menswear too? No? not surprising as this isn't a well known fact but that is about to change!

On a recent visit to a New Look store in Meadowhall in Sheffield I was shown around the new men's range and their new approach to men's fashion. The brand is predominantly a women's fashion retailer with a huge shoe range. I mean, its epic. After going around the range, learning and loving, it shocked me why people aren't aware of this and why it isn't as popular as I think it should be. Then I started to think back to when I used to visit New Look when I was around 13 and I can remember the range of men's fashion available being very mix matched. The yester year of fashion for the brand is gone now with a full on amazing collection of amazing fashion.

I was amazed be the growth of the men's department and I was so excited to see that the store has looked and dedicated time to the range. A real passion came through as we chatted about everything from the past, how men shop, my thoughts and their plans for the future. The thought of shop by trend and I love that each trend has a different guy name. Such as Alex for the Vinyl "fashion forward" trend, Jack for the Sports trend and Tom for Geek Chic. After plenty of notes being made it was time for the really fun bit! The try on! I asked Alex, the Men's wear Expert at New Look Meadowhall, to choose some pieces from the range that he liked and thought would look good together and I would then try them on and we could take some photos.

The rail of clothes emerged and it looked fab from the get go. We took the rail to the dressing room and the clothes really started to show themselves off. The quality and the fit of these clothes has really sky rocketed from my experience in the past. In a matter of fact I was originally wearing black super skinny jeans anyway that day and Alex had picked a pair out for me to try on and they fitted even better than mine did! Not to mention the stunning fit of everything else on that rail! I bought he two scarfs you see in the photo's. Worn them every day since!

I think I've covered the fantastic quality, fit and range that the store offers but what I would also like to day is the amazing, un-beatable customer service I was given during my visit. With big smiles, warm welcomes and a "nothing is too  much trouble" approach, the team made me feel so welcome and even part of the New Look family. All of them were also very stylish too. After being treated like a king for a good few hours and having a great chat with everyone I can see amazing things happening with the New Look men's range. I know where I'm going when pay day comes! Not to mention Christmas!

Here's the photos from the day. Check out the Meadowhall Sheffield store today! I can guarantee you'll be very happy you did. Remember, to "Always Be Classic".

#Strokeme Faux Fur

Hello!

How is everyone? Good I hope! Ever thought "I wish I could wear brightly coloured faux fur and be bang on trend"? Then this is your moment! In this blog post I'll be revealing what to look for and what to wear this loud autumn trend with!

Designers from Céline, 3.1 Philip Lim and Topshop Unique and more have embraced and created brightly coloured faux fur for the new season. This trend is loud, bright, fun and a little wacky. Look for fur accents such as collars, pockets and coats or capes. This way you can wear the trend without being OTT.

Pair a colour pop faux fur coat with a basic silk shirt in a neutral colour such as nude or white, midi or mini length skirt in a darker colour like khaki or navy (both big for this season!) and some killer ankle boots with a hint of sixties vibe (see Saint Laurent for inspiration!). Keep the look simple. Let the fur do the talking!

Have fun with this trend and make an impact! Love this trend? Love fuax fur? Then show me your best furry fashion! I'll feature it on the next blog post!! Comment below or email them in. Remember to "Always Be Classic" !

Until next time guys! #furfashion #Strokeme #ryanpilkinton

The Coat For This Season

Hello!

I love a good coat. My Superdry one is one of my staple peuces for autumn winter. Timeless and classic. Coats this season are big. Faux fur, leather and wool.

Look for simple. Not too fussy and boyish styles. Minimalist coats are key this season. Pastel and soft colours are big on the streets for this trend! Worn over the shoulders pair with a great pair of tailored trousers, ankle boots, a simple sleek blouse and a great structure box bag. Stunning, simple and effortless style.

Got a great coat you want to share? Send your photos in! I'll feature it one the next blog post! Be sure to follow the blog too! Click the links on the right or search the blog on BlogLovin too! Never miss a post again!

The Beanie Hat Meets The Veil!

As seen in Look magazine! This is a trend that none of us expected to happen but when you see multiple celebrities sporting the same thing you don't argue. Nicola Roberts, Rihanna and Anna Dello Russo have all been sported wearing beanies with veils attached. This trend is a small one but is expected to be everywhere at New York Fashion Month! Exciting. You can have your own beanie with a veil at ww.liberty.co.uk. What will your beanie be like? Would you prefer to be more discreet and blend the veil in with the hat or be dramatic and have the veil fall over your face? Would you like a more interesting veil filled with pearls and diamanté? Stunning and cute which ever way you wear yours. Can't wait to see these all over the high street and runways. Tell me what you think to this unexpected trend in the comments below.
